I have an antique gold chain hallmarked with B&S. Can anyone tell me the Maker. Approx 100 years old.?

18 Karat gold chain with B&S hallmarked. Can anyone tell me the maker.
It is on a graduated Albert Watch Chain so would be surprised if B&S is not in fact the maker instead of the Brown and Sharpe Guage System.
